Room size was adequate, and always kept clean. Hotel lobby is small, but clean.Reception staff were helpful, although they came across as unwelcoming and not very friendly. On 33rd Street and 5th Ave, it is literally one block from the Empire State building and a longer block away from Herald Square and Macey's. The location of the hotel was superb for us. The coupon made the average night's cost for my two night's stay a mere $125/ night. I had a certificate for a free night at a Red Roof, so I decided to give this one a try.
